Rolling Island
Another thing that you can do is to get a rolling island to put in your kitchen. That way you can move it around as necessary and use it wherever you happen to need it. The nice thing about have an island that isn't fixed into one place and that has wheels so you can move it around is that you can make sure that it isn't in your way. If you have a small kitchen without a lot of counter space, you can get the island and put it next to your stove so that you can use it to cut vegetables or put your seasonings, then, when you are done, you can slide it away into the corner so that it isn't taking up a large area in your kitchen. You could even slip the island out of your kitchen and store it in another room if you need even more space.
